Senior Airman Bradley Randall Smith was a 2004 graduate of Triad High School that enlisted in the United States Air Force in 2006. In December of 2009, he deployed to Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, Operating out of Forward Operating Base Wilson, near Kandahar, Afghanistan where he lost his life to an Improvised Explosive Device while retrieving another soldier's remains.

Airman Smith made the ultimate sacrifice protecting his fellow comrades in arms and the United States of America. His exemplary life defines the Air Force Core Values of Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do. Brad is survived by his wife, Tiffany, his daughter, Chloe, his parents, Gary and Paula Smith, his brother, Staff Sergeant Gary Ryan Smith, as well as many other family members and friends.

The parents of Airman Smith offer several $1,000 scholarships each school year at Triad’s Honors Night program. These scholarships will honor the memory of Brad, his love of God, his country, Troy and Triad and his desire to continue his education. All of the donations received at the volleyball game go toward the Brad Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund. So even if you are not playing, please come out and support the cause!

The games will begin at 6pm on Tuesday, January 26, in the big gym at the high school. The cost of admission is $3 and all proceeds will go to the Brad Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund.
