2016-03-10 State Superintendent Announces PARCC Assessment Window

It's time for third through eighth-graders and some high school students to take the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) assessment. Our District assessment window will begin on March 16 and continue through April 29, with each building and grade level assigned a specific schedule for Math and English-Language Arts sessions. 

Recently, State Superintendent, Tony Smith, released a letter to parents announcing the beginning of the Illinois assessment period and stated... "This is the second year Illinois has participated in the PARCC assessment. The 2016 exam has a simpler format to improve the testing process while still providing reliable information about student achievement. This year's results will allow you to see how your child is growing in his or her knowledge and understanding of the state's learning standards." The full letter can be found below.
